Federal agents outlined in court their case against Joseph Briley, a former Lincoln County High School teacher and band director, who's facing a federal indictment.

The agent told a federal judge that a parent's concern over a relationship between her 14-year-old daughter and Briley prompted the initial search.

Once inside the home, agents seized computers they say contained several hundred images of young girls between the ages 8 and 12. Investigators say many of the images were of girls in classroom or school settings.

The FBI agent also testified about an investigation still ongoing into Briley's relationship with at least two other students at Lincoln County High School.

No evidence of sexual relationships were presented in court today, but prosecutors admit they are investigating allegations of inappropriate touching involving Briley and a 14-year-old girl during a band trip earlier this year.

Briley remains in the Fayette County Detention Center. During today's hearing, the federal judge refused to set bond for Briley, saying he posed a danger to the community.
